Mac Office Communicator (OCS) install

 

Download the client from the Microsoft link below:

  • Quit any applications that are running, including all Office applications, Microsoft Messenger, and Office Notifications, because they might interfere with installation.
  • Make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
  • Click Download, or click the link for the language version that you want.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen to save the file to your hard disk. If you are using Safari, the downloaded file is saved to the desktop unless you specified a different location in the Preferences dialog box of Safari. To check your preferences, on the Safari menu, click Preferences, and then click General.
    If the file you downloaded does not expand automatically, on your hard disk, double-click the file that you downloaded in step 5.
  • Drag the Microsoft Messenger icon to the Applications folder on your hard disk.
  • After the application has been copied to your hard disk, you can drag the Microsoft Messenger volume to the Trash, and then drag the file that you downloaded to the Trash.
  • Double-click the Microsoft Messenger application that you copied to your hard disk to start the setup program, and then follow the instructions on the screen.
  • Once it is installed open the client and click Next and agree to the license agreement. You can skip the check for previous versions.
  • On the fourth step choose Corporate account and click Next




  • On the next screen enter the following information:
  • Once setup is complete it will bring you to the login screen. Do not try and login yet. First go to Messenger on the top find bar and then choose Preferences...
  • Click the accounts icon in the preferences window and under My Network Settings choose the Manually configure settings button. For the Server name or IP address enter the server name from the right hand margin OCS setup page (iManage Dashboard > Services > OCS 2007).
    Select TLS for the Connect using option. Click OK and now sign on.
